The President of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante, Toni P\u00e9rez<\/strong>The Maisonnave Award<\/strong> awarded by the University of Alicante to the MARQ for its relevant scientific and dissemination work<\/strong>by its involvement in pre-university and university training<\/strong>for its commitment to accessibility and inclusion<\/strong>as well as for its international projection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the XXIV edition<\/strong> The award ceremony was held in the Conference Room of the Alacant City Hall<\/strong>the provincial official expressed his \"deep satisfaction<\/u>\"The fact that this award goes to the MARQ, \"an institution that forms an essential part of this Diputaci\u00f3n and, above all, of the cultural heart of the whole province.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n

The president also confirmed that, since its creation, the MARQ has been \"a benchmark in the understanding of archaeology and museography<\/u>\"He also assured that it is not just a museum, \".is a living space for knowledge, scientific research and dissemination of our heritage.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n

\"With a profoundly educational vocation, the MARQ has managed to bring archaeology closer to society, and especially to the younger generations, thanks to an accessible, modern and profoundly human language.<\/u>\"insisted Toni P\u00e9rez, who stated that beyond the awards, \".what really defines MARQ is its capacity to generate links between past and present, between knowledge and citizenship, between archaeology and citizenship.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n

On this point, the institutional responsible has highlighted the pride that the Diputaci\u00f3n shows for the museum and for the human resources<\/strong> who has expressly congratulated him on his professional excellence<\/strong> and by the passion<\/strong> that they put into each project. \"This 'Maisonnave Award' is, therefore, a well-deserved recognition and also a stimulus to continue advancing, innovating and demonstrating that culture is an essential investment for social cohesion and the development of our communities.<\/u>\"he insisted.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by the UA Rector, Amparo Navarro<\/strong>the deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro<\/strong>the director of MARQ, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>and the managing director of the MARQ CV Foundation, Josep Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>among other authorities.<\/p>\n

During his speech, Toni P\u00e9rez also thanked the University of Alicante for its commitment to this award, which highlights the work of the \"rigorous, innovative and committed work developed by public institutions, while reminding us that shared knowledge is the best tool to grow as a society.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n
