The Provincial Council and the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ are investing 65,000 euros in the museumisation of the interpretation centre, which will be open to visitors from 11 October.<\/p>\n

The Neolithic site of the Cova de l'Or in Beniarr\u00e9s<\/strong> will reopen its doors to the public in October following the extension of the exhibition route and contents carried out this summer thanks to the investment of 65,000 euros by the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante and the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the deputy for Culture explained, Juan de Dios Navarro<\/strong>, \"The work, coordinated by the Architecture Department of the provincial institution, is part of the second phase of the General Plan for Research and Musealisation of the site, authorised by the Department of Culture of the Generalitat Valenciana, and began at the beginning of August, taking advantage of the fact that the site museum was temporarily closed to the public due to the high temperatures in the area, and will continue until the beginning of October.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n

This year's excavation campaign took place from 1 August to 2 September in the two stratigraphic profiles located in the eastern gallery of the interior of the cavity (Sala de las Columnas) for to reconstruct the chronology of events at the levels of use of the cave and to expand the museum resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In this way, the public will be able to observe the profiles up close, as well as the informative contents to understand the different moments of the occupation of the cavity, to know the methodology and techniques<\/strong> The aim is to understand the problems of sites that have been altered, before their recovery and enhancement.<\/p>\n

In this summer's research, the following have been located materials from different periods<\/strong>These, together with the C14, sedimentological, geological and geological analyses of the different materials found, will provide more data for a better understanding of the uses and occupations of the cave in different historical periods.<\/p>\n

The work to improve the museographic supports, accessibility and security at the enclave also includes the installation of audiovisual and musical resources<\/strong> with a drone recording and the route of the sunlight beam through the interior of the cave at the winter solstice. These museographic resources will be incorporated by means of QR codes located at the site and linked to the MARQ website. Likewise, the route has been adjusted by creating a new linear itinerary of about 65 metres in length inside the cave that will allow a ring route.<\/p>\n
