The Archaeological Museum of Alicante<\/strong> will host next week the XIX Conference on Classical Culture<\/strong> the backbone of which will be the classical languages and new trends in the didactics of their popularisation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Organised from 4 to 6 April by the association Cultura Cl\u00e1sica, this event is aimed at the following audiences teachers and students of Classical Languages and Social Sciences, and those of Philosophy, Spanish Language and Modern Languages.<\/strong>as well as to all persons interested in the knowledge of the Greco-Roman world<\/strong> and in the study of classical languages.<\/p>\n In this edition, the conference includes conferences, round tables, guided visits to the MARQ and to the Tossal de Manises-Lucentum site<\/strong>, didactic workshops and Greco-Latin theatre performances<\/strong>. To this end, as highlighted by the deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro<\/strong>, \"have the collaboration of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante, through the MARQ and the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ, in accordance with the collaboration agreement signed last January.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n Arqueogastronom\u00eda, the Asociaci\u00f3n Hispania Romana, the Asociaci\u00f3n Ludere et Discere, the Collegium Latinitatis, the Mane Latinum Malacitanum, the SEEC Comunidad Valenciana and Cultura Cl\u00e1sica Ediciones have also participated in the organisation of this meeting.<\/p>\n Among the objectives of this initiative are to analysis of classical cultural references<\/strong> in today's world and the knowledge of new technologies. methodological trends in the didactics of classical culture and languages<\/strong>and the promotion of the knowledge, use and dissemination of the information and communication technologies<\/strong> in teaching practice. In addition, and as every year, these sessions aim to be a meeting point for classical language teachers from all over the country to exchange experiences.<\/p>\n The 4 and 5 April<\/strong> the MARQ Assembly Hall will host the lectures given by renowned national and international personalities of the stature of Terence Tunberg<\/strong>Professor of Latin at the University of Kentucky in the United States, Eugenia Manolidou<\/strong>Director of the Hellenik\u00e9 Agog\u00e9 in Greece, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>director of MARQ, or Lloren\u00e7 Alapont<\/strong> of the European University of Valencia, among others.<\/p>\n The conference also includes a lyre concert in Greek, lectures in Latin and Classical Greek on the didactics of these languages, a talk with a writer of historical novels and also a more playful and practical part with the guided tour in Latin at the Lucentum site<\/strong> and the sensory experience of participating in a Roman banquet with authentic Imperial recipes<\/strong>. Not forgetting the premiere screening of the The Hellenic Question' documentary<\/strong> and a chat with its editor.<\/p>\n Since they began in 2005, the conferences have been held in Almu\u00f1\u00e9car (2005), Guadix (2006), Almedinilla and Priego de C\u00f3rdoba (2007), Baeza (2008), Osuna (2009), M\u00e9rida (2010, 2011 and 2012), Antequera (2013), M\u00e1laga (2014), Almu\u00f1\u00e9car (2015), Cartagena (2016), Puente Genil (2017), Don Benito-Medell\u00edn (2018), Granada (2019), Carmona (2022), Sevilla-It\u00e1lica (2023) and Lugo (2024).<\/p>\n
