The exhibition 'Cities of Light. \u00c1kra Leuk\u00e9, Lucentum, Laqant' will extend its stay at MARQ until next year. 7 September <\/strong>before the excellent public response<\/strong>which has surpassed all expectations, reaching the 19,000 visitors<\/strong> three months after its inauguration.<\/p>\n As the deputy for Culture recalled, Juan de Dios Navarro<\/strong>This own production proposal<\/strong> is the sample largest temporary surface area occupied<\/strong> in the history of the museum and is intended to illustrate the succession of ancient sites<\/strong> who inhabited the site of La Albufereta<\/strong> of Alicante, using as vertebral axis<\/strong> the archaeological site of the Tossal de Manises<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Driven by the Alicante Provincial Council<\/strong> through the Archaeological Museum of Alicante and the C.V. MARQ Foundation, the exhibition has counted with the collaboration of a thirty Spanish cultural organisations<\/strong> among museums, archives and foundations that have lent part of their collections, pieces and materials for exhibition to the public, together with those of the provincial institution, which the MARQ has custody of.<\/p>\n The Tossal de Manises archaeological site<\/strong> is the backbone of this exhibition that focuses on the research, restoration, enhancement, protection and dissemination of the site itself, which have turned it into a socialised space open to the public. Cities of Light' is omisaried by Manuel Olcina<\/strong>director of MARQ, Rafael P\u00e9rez<\/strong>The exhibition was presented by the Director of the Architecture Department of the Provincial Council and by the Archaeology technicians of the C.V. MARQ Foundation, Eva Tendero<\/strong> and Antonio Guilabert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Of the 19,000 people who have already visited the site, it stands out in the ranking of international backgrounds<\/strong> The most popular visitors came from Eastern European countries, followed by Great Britain, America, the Nordic countries, France, the Netherlands and Germany.
