The Archaeological Museum of Alicante<\/strong> presented this morning at the International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR<\/strong>The new version of its website, which stands out for the user experience, accessibility and language offerings<\/strong>offering information in Spanish, Valencian and English.<\/p>\n As the deputy for Culture pointed out, Juan de Dios Navarro<\/strong>, \"the main objective is to extend the public service provided by the museum, not only to those who visit us, but also to those who consult it daily on the internet, as a transversal tool for dissemination, which also complements the Costa Blanca destination offer from the cultural tourism segment.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n More than two decades have passed since the creation of the first MARQ website, which has been updated several times since 2003. This latest proposal, with a renewed and modern system<\/strong>This has been a great challenge for the Museum, which has reinforced its commitment to public service while maintaining its wide range of scientific and research content. With this new version, the MARQ highlights the work of its teams of archaeologists and specialists to bring the history and heritage of the province closer to the user through the museum, as well as the sites and monuments it manages. In short, \"what our IT technicians call 'the whole MARQ environment' to offer a didactic vision of archaeology, history and heritage.<\/u>\"The deputy added.<\/p>\n In addition, the website is supported by a powerful tool as a virtual assistant<\/strong> which provides technical assistance to users who need it - voice commands, text resizing, etc.for accessible navigation<\/strong>. Based on users' interest in information on visits to the exhibitions and the museum, as well as to the sites and monuments, the focus has been placed on the web usability<\/strong>to make navigation easier and to bring the offer and activities closer, with access from any point of navigation, with special care to the \"responsive\" adaptation for any medium<\/strong>. This new system also facilitates content management, allowing the immediate updating of information<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The strategy of the team of professionals responsible for the new website, addressed to<\/strong> by Ignacio Hern\u00e1ndez and Juan Segu\u00ed<\/strong>has focused on preserving the data and content developed over more than twenty years of work<\/strong>This will make possible the coexistence of different technologies to make the databases and the contents they house secure and accessible. From the menu and other highlighted spaces you can navigate to all the useful content about an exhibition, museum, site or monument, which will be integrated into a single website.<\/p>\n In addition, the new section \"organise your visit\".<\/strong> The new section will also contain all the information on exhibitions, grouped and classified, with many browsing facilities. Thus, together with the great challenge of migration and connection between technologies, this section represents the biggest change in functionality<\/strong> justified by the statistics and consultation records of online visits.<\/p>\n The event, which also provided information on the exhibition programme for 2025, was attended by the director of the MARQ, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>and the managing director of the CV-MARQ Foundation, Jos\u00e9 Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>. Upcoming projects include the following exhibitions Cannibalism among Shepherds. The Randero Cave'.<\/strong>which will be inaugurated in May in the museum's foyer, and 'D\u00e8nia.
