For more than three years it has been receiving organised groups of guided visits that culminate in the cave, an interesting route of cultural and scenic interest that begins at the interpretation centre, located in the town centre of Beniarr\u00e9s. Close to <strong>three thousand people<\/strong> have already enjoyed this <strong>heritage and nature itinerary<\/strong> The first-rate museum that has become an important historical reference point.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm; text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Verdana&quot;,sans-serif\">The Cova de l'Or de Beniarr\u00e9s is located 675 metres above sea level, on the southern slope of the group of reliefs that make up the <strong>Benicadell mountain range<\/strong>. It contains an archaeological site of enormous importance for the knowledge and research of the <strong>Neolithic of the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula<\/strong>. The quality and significance of the archaeological material found in the excavations carried out since the 1930s suggest that the cave was a place of social reference for settlers of Mediterranean origin who, at the time of the excavations, had been living in the area. <strong>mid-6th millennium BC<\/strong>introduced in these valleys the practice of the <strong>agriculture and livestock farming<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0cm; margin-right:0cm; text-align:justify\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\"><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt\"><span style=\"font-family:&quot;Verdana&quot;,sans-serif\">In the Cova de l'Or, material elements have been found that bear witness to the importance of the occupation in the <strong>Early Neolithic (5500-5000 B.C.)<\/strong>The enclave was an ideal place for habitation.
