The Museum of Huelva has closed this week the temporary exhibition of the MARQ '\u00cddolos. Miradas milenarias', which has received the visit of more than 24,000 people<\/strong> during the eleven months it has been on display. Inaugurated on 11 December 2023 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Huelva museum<\/strong>The exhibition was scheduled to close in June this year, but due to the large number of visitors, its opening was extended until last Sunday.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/strong>The proposal is curated by Primitiva Bueno<\/strong>professor of Prehistory at the University of Alcal\u00e1 de Henares, and by Jorge A. Soler<\/strong>director of the MUBAG, and brings together about 200 pieces from Portuguese and Spanish museums<\/strong>The Huelva Museum, among which is the Museum of Huelva, in the production of its own section on the most recent archaeological interventions carried out in the province of Huelva.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Idols. Miradas milenarias' has consolidated a a model of institutional collaboration of excellence between Portugal and Spain<\/strong>with the participation of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante and the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda<\/strong>. The exhibition includes collections from the Huelva museum itself and from seven Portuguese collections from the National Museum of Archaeology of Portugal, Perdig\u00f5es, ERA Arqueologia SA Collection, Museu Geol\u00f3gico, Museu de Portim\u00e3o, Museu Municipal Lonel Trindade, Museu de Arqueologia e Etnografia do Distrito de Set\u00falba and Museu do Carmo.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Among the numerous awards and recognitions received by this exhibition, the prizes for the Best museology work, Best international project, Best catalogue and Best transport of cultural property heritage, awarded by the Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Portuguesa de Museologia<\/strong> (APOM) throughout their stay in Lisbon in 2021, with design and execution by the Rocamora Dise\u00f1o y Arquitectura studio.<\/strong>.
