The Museum of Huelva<\/strong> has announced the extension until 27 October next. <\/strong>of the exhibition 'Idols. Millenary gazes'.<\/strong> of the CV MARQ Foundation. <\/strong>The proposal, inaugurated in December to commemorate the Andalusian museum's half-century of existence, counts on the collaboration of leading museums in Portugal and Spain. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Since its opening, more than 10,800 people have visited this important international exhibition.<\/strong> which houses the museum in Huelva. It was originally scheduled to close in June 2024 and now the extension of its stay in Huelva will allow locals and visitors to enjoy unique pieces from Prehistory through a rich, varied and expressive selection of objects. <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Idols <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>first saw the light of day in January 2020 on the Archaeological Museum of Alicante<\/strong> to later do the same in the SEA, Regional Archaeological Museum of Madrid<\/strong>with headquarters in Alcal\u00e1 de Henares, coming in 2021 to the National Museum of Archaeology of Portugal<\/strong> based in Lisbon. Throughout this trajectory, the exhibition has received, among others, the following awards APOM Awards<\/strong> (Portuguese Museology Association) in 2022 for Best Museological Work, Best International Project, Best Catalogue and Best Transport of Cultural Heritage. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Curated by the Professor of Prehistory at the University of Alcal\u00e1, Primitiva Bueno<\/strong>and by the director of Exhibitions of the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ and director of the MUBAG, Jorge A. Soler<\/strong>\u00cddolos. Miradas milenarias' has consolidated an example of institutional collaboration between Portugal and Spain, with the participation of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante and the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda.
