The President of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante, Toni P\u00e9rez<\/strong>wanted to witness firsthand the final touches to the process of opening boxes and starting assembly<\/strong> of the next international exhibition<\/strong> which will host the MARQ<\/strong> from the next 26 March<\/strong>The official inauguration day.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition, which deals with the early kingdoms of prehistoric Europe<\/strong>includes unpublished pieces and masterpieces<\/strong> of the Bronze Age<\/strong>Some of them are being exhibited for the first time in Spain.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Entitled \"Dynasties\", this initiative, which can be visited at the Alicante museum until 13 October<\/strong>is an ambitious project with about 500 valuable objects<\/strong>including a reproduction of Nebra's Disc and part of its treasure<\/strong>. It is the first known representation of the celestial vault in Europe, included in the UNESCO Memory of the World Register since 2013.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The selected objects from 20 museums and institutions across Europe<\/strong>The following are testimony to the emergence of the first 'warrior' characters<\/strong>of the evolution of agricultural and livestock farming societies<\/strong> as the foundation of the first states, of extractive activities such as the mining<\/strong> and the development of trades such as metallurgy<\/strong> and the goldsmithing<\/strong> or the constitution of the elites<\/strong> and the ideological control of society<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Toni P\u00e9rez praised \"the research and dissemination work of the MARQ team, which will bring us closer to the prehistory of our continent in an era that was a decisive turning point in Europe\", while assuring that the museum \"will once again demonstrate its level of excellence and prestige at an international level and will once again become the epicentre of European culture\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The president said that the most important aspect of this initiative \"is the scientific account of years of work, rigour and study, thanks to which we have managed to bring together nearly 500 works through the collaboration of a total of 20 museums\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The event was attended by the director of MARQ, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>the managing director of the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ, Jos\u00e9 Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>and one of the three curators of the show, the archaeologist Juan Antonio L\u00f3pez Padilla<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
