The CV MARQ Foundation<\/span><\/span><\/strong> has inaugurated this morning at the Museum of Huelva the exhibition '<\/span><\/span>Idols. Millenary gazes'.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>The exhibition, which commemorates the Andalusian museum's half-century of existence and in which leading museums in Portugal have also collaborated. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Deputy for Culture, <\/span><\/span>Juan de Dios Navarro<\/span><\/span><\/strong>The exhibition \"strengthens the international collaboration between renowned cultural centres to offer a unique exhibition to showcase our archaeological and monumental heritage and highlight the common past between Spain and Portugal\", he said. In addition, according to the deputy, 'Idols' presents in Huelva \"the line of exhibition work led by the MARQ, adapted to people with different abilities, with outstanding interactive additions and an approach aimed at all audiences\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The<\/span><\/span> proposal<\/span><\/span> curated by the<\/span><\/span> professor of Prehistory at the University of Alcal\u00e1<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> Primitiva Bueno<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, y<\/span><\/span> by the <\/span><\/span>Director of Exhibitions at MARQ and<\/span><\/span> director of the MUBAG<\/span><\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Jorge A. Soler<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, <\/span><\/span>ha<\/span><\/span> consolidated an example of institutional collaboration between Portugal<\/span><\/span> and Spain, with the participation of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante<\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>Junta de Andaluc\u00eda. <\/span><\/span>The inauguration was also attended by the Andalusian Regional Minister of Tourism, <\/span><\/span>Arturo Bernal<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and the mayoress of Huelva, <\/span><\/span>Pilar Miranda<\/span><\/span><\/strong>together with the managing director of the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ <\/span><\/span>Jos\u00e9 Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The exhibition includes <\/span><\/span>funds from the Huelva museum itself and from<\/span><\/span><\/strong> seven portuguese collections<\/span><\/span><\/strong> from the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia de Portugal, Perdig\u00f5es, ERA Arqueologia SA Collection, Museu Geol\u00f3gico, Museu de Portim\u00e3o, Museu Municipal Lonel Trindade, Museu de Arqueologia e Etnografia do Distrito de Set\u00falba and Museu do Carmo, as well as new content on the most modern archaeological interventions carried out in the province of Huelva.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Idols' opens to the public in January 2020 at MARQ<\/span><\/span><\/strong> and was later installed in the MAR in Alcal\u00e1 de Henares and in the National Museum of Archaeology in Portugal. <\/span><\/span>Over the next six months<\/span><\/span><\/strong>will offer in the Museum of Huelva the possibility of approaching in a suggestive way to singular pieces of the Prehistory through a rich, varied and expressive set of pieces. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
