Carlos Maz\u00f3n assures that this initiative is one of the main events of the year in Spain and marks a turning point in the cultural and museum offer of the city.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This polychrome work, with an iron structure modelled in expanded polystyrene, was made over a period of three months in the artist's workshop in Sant Vicent del Raspeig. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The President of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante, Carlos Maz\u00f3n<\/strong>visited this lunchtime in Sant Vicent del Raspeig<\/strong> the giant sculpture of a Xi'an warrior<\/strong> by the artist from Alicante Jos\u00e9 Manuel Garc\u00eda,<\/strong> Patxi', for promoting the international exhibition<\/strong> which is exhibited in the MARQ until January 2024<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The piece, by eleven metres high<\/strong>including the pedestal (eight metres in height), was built by a five-person team<\/strong> with a iron structure<\/strong> modelled on expanded polystyrene<\/strong> and coated with an elastomer <\/strong>to cope with inclement weather. <\/p>\n

The polychrome warrior<\/strong>The three months<\/strong> in the workshop of 'Patxi' in Sant Vicent del Raspeig, will be located at La Explanada in Alicante.<\/strong> as tourist attraction<\/strong> to encourage visitors touring the city to enjoy the exhibition. \"The Legacy of the Qin and Han Dynasties, China. The Warriors of Xi'an\".<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The work, which recreates one of the authentic terracotta warriors, has been completed and is awaiting the corresponding permits<\/strong> by the Alicante City Council for display on the public highway<\/strong>where it will be installed in the next few days. <\/p>\n

According to Maz\u00f3n, this initiative constitutes one of the most important main events of the year in Spain<\/strong> and marks a turning point in the cultural and museum offer in Alicante. \"The exhibition is already at full capacity with more than 1,000 visits a day, which shows that it is one of the most visited exhibitions in Spain. Now it is time to conquer the city of Alicante and the Explanada, which is where this replica made with Alicante talent will be\", said the president. <\/p>\n

The unpublished exhibition currently housed in the Museo Arqueol\u00f3gico de Alicante, many of whose works are objects and items on display for the first time in the world<\/strong>was inaugurated at the end of March and has already registered close to 47,000 visits<\/strong>overcoming <\/strong>expectations. A selection of 120 original pieces from nine museums and institutions<\/strong> Chinese, including nine statues and a horse<\/strong>make up the cultural proposal. <\/p>\n

The exhibition offers an original and elaborated exhibition design with didactic and accessible materials for all audiences<\/strong>as well as sensory resources that have made it possible to create an immersive environment through the use of different smells<\/strong>. Room one smells of cherry and rice<\/strong>the room two, a incense<\/strong>and room three, a lotus flower and tea<\/strong>. Likewise, the musical pieces created especially by the composer from Alicante Luis Ivars<\/strong> accompany and envelop the visitor throughout the tour. <\/p>\n

The Xi'an Warriors as a whole are UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987<\/strong> and its stay in the Alicante museum is the result of years of negotiations and work with the Chinese authorities. <\/p>\n
