The deputy for Culture and vice-president of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante, Julia Parra<\/strong>The exhibition was inaugurated this afternoon in Rojales. \"Guardians of Stone. The Castles of Alicante\".<\/strong> together with the local mayor, Antonio P\u00e9rez Garc\u00eda<\/strong>the Councillor for Culture, Inmaculada Chazarra<\/strong> and <\/span><\/span>Manuel Villalgordo Saura, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>Regional Director Orihuela-Vega Baja of Banco Sabadell, in r<\/span><\/span><\/span>epresentsThe <\/span>Bancaja Foundationo<\/span> Sabadell.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Julia Parra said that \"this new cultural experience is very exciting, almost at street level, with a location that shows that culture has a place anywhere and that our obligation as administrations is to bring it closer to citizens, making it closer and more accessible\". The aim of this proposal is, according to the deputy, \"to enhance the value of one of the most important architectural heritages, our castles and fortresses, with this selection of images, models and explanatory texts, the result of a meticulous research study\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The inauguration in Rojales was also attended by the director of the Archaeological Museum of Alicante MARQ, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>, Jos\u00e9 Luis Men\u00e9ndez<\/strong>curator of the exhibition; and Jos\u00e9 Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>Managing Director of the Fundaci\u00f3n CV MARQ.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This is the fourteenth assignment<\/strong> of the exhibition \"Guardians of Stone. Los Castillos de Alicante\" of the MARQ, which began its tour in December 2015 with an exhibition that won the National Design Prize-Golden Emporia <\/strong>for the best travelling exhibition.
