The Archaeological Museum of Alicante<\/strong> will open the next wednesday, 13 april<\/strong>the new exhibition 'Gladiators. Heroes of the Coliseum '<\/strong>which will be open to the public from 2.30 p.m. onwards in a first free open day<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This has been confirmed by the first vice-president and deputy for culture, Julia Parra<\/strong>during a visit to the museum at midday this afternoon to monitor the arrival of the pieces that will make up the exhibition and the progress of the assembly work in the three rooms reserved for this temporary exhibition. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The head of Culture stressed that \"we are very fortunate because Alicante will once again have an exhibition of internationally recognised excellence and also on dates that are also very important, Easter, adding to the attraction for the general public and for tourism\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n During the exhibition, from 13 April to 16 October, the following will be on view 140 works from eight Italian museums<\/strong>. The collection will be complemented with audiovisual elements, which will form an important part of the exhibition aimed at a broad public, of all ages, with accessibility criteria.<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Julia Parra has verified during today's tour that the works are going at a good pace and everything will be ready for the inauguration ceremony, which will be attended by the Italian ambassador,<\/span><\/span><\/span> Riccardo Guariglia<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>and the curator of the exhibition, Rossella Rea<\/strong>who has been director of the Colosseum in Rome for more than three decades. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Archaeologists representing the Italian museums that collaborate with this exhibition are participating in the assembly of 'Gladiators'.
