After nine excavation campaigns<\/strong>the MARQ<\/strong> has completed the archaeological work at the Laderas del Castillo site<\/strong>in Callosa de Segura. An investment of more than 140,000 euros<\/strong> has made it possible during this time to document numerous remains of what was once one of the most densely populated prehistoric villages in the province.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The team led by Juan A. L\u00f3pez Padilla<\/strong>MARQ archaeologist, and Francisco Javier Jover Maestre<\/strong>Professor of Prehistory at the University of Alicante, has completed the project, carried out over almost a decade, with the covering and protection of the structures exhumed in the enclave.
