The seventeenth edition of the <\/span><\/span>MARQ Summer Activities Campaign <\/span><\/span><\/strong>will begin in person on 5 July and will run until 27 August with <\/span><\/span>\"<\/span><\/span>L<\/span><\/span><\/strong>'<\/span><\/span>Horta d<\/span><\/span><\/strong>'<\/span><\/span>Alacant. Culture, Heritage and Traditions<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\"as the core of the proposals.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Following the interruption of face-to-face activities last summer due to the health crisis, the MARQ recovers its summer programme<\/strong> under strict compliance with its Contingency Plan and COVID Protocols<\/strong>In accordance with the health authorities, as a safe space for culture and health, where no contagion has occurred, neither among its staff nor its visitors, since it reopened its doors in June 2020.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Deputy Vice-President for Culture, <\/span><\/span>Julia Parra<\/span><\/span><\/strong>He detailed that \"...<\/span><\/span>in this edition, the theme of the activities will focus on the contents offered in the permanent rooms of the museum, making a journey through the history and archaeology of our province, with special emphasis on the historical, cultural, environmental and landscape heritage treasured by the Huerta de Alicante\".<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The activities will take place both inside the Museum with visits to the rooms, in the didactic classrooms or in the assembly hall, and in the gardens. The programme has also been <\/span><\/span>organised on a weekly basis, from Monday 5 July to Friday 27 August<\/span><\/span><\/strong>The programme runs from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 2pm, and is open to children aged between 6 and 14 years old. Each week there will be a total of <\/span><\/span>25 places available, divided by age into two groups of 15 and 10 children.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Registration, with one week left in the calendar of activities, has maintained the same price as in previous editions, <\/span><\/span>35 euros<\/span><\/span><\/strong>and can be formalised through <\/span><\/span>Instanticket or at the Museum's ticket offices<\/span><\/span><\/strong>during public opening hours. In addition, the <\/span><\/span>cafeteria el Barq<\/span><\/span><\/strong> will offer a special daily menu to students enrolled in the campaign. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One of the objectives of the conference is to <\/span><\/span>to introduce the MARQ to children in a dynamic and participative way.<\/span><\/span><\/strong>The aim is to encourage teamwork and, in this edition, to recognise and identify the main crops and plantations of the traditional market garden throughout history, as well as their influence on the local economy. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to Julia Parra, \"<\/span><\/span>The aim of the programme that will be launched in July is for children to learn to value and protect cultural and environmental heritage through fun activities designed by the MARQ's didactic team with the collaboration of the museum's archaeologists.<\/span><\/span>\". <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
