The exhibition of the MARQ<\/strong><\/span><\/span> <\/strong>Guardians of Stone. The Castles of Alicante'.<\/span><\/span><\/strong> has landed in Torrevieja <\/strong>where, following its spirit of itinerancy, it will remain until next June. This morning, the Sala Municipal Vistalegre hosted the presentation of the exhibition, which includes a selection of 84 fortifications in the province. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The inauguration was presided over by the first vice-president of the Provincial Council and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra<\/strong>and by the Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dol\u00f3n<\/strong>. The event was also attended by the director of MARQ, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>the managing director of the CV-MARQ Foundation, Jos\u00e9 Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>the curator of the exhibition, Jos\u00e9 Luis Men\u00e9ndez<\/strong>the manager of the Joaqu\u00edn Chapaprieta Municipal Institute of Culture, Miguel Enrique Fern\u00e1ndez <\/strong>and Manuel Villalgordo<\/strong>The exhibition was organised by the Banco Sabadell Foundation, the exhibition's sponsor. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The proposal is structured as follows five routes<\/strong> which roughly coincide with the delimitations of the large regions of Alicante: the Castles of the Inland Border centred on the Vinalop\u00f3 Valley<\/strong>where Villena and the Castles of La Atalaya and Salvatierra have a special role; the Castles of the Mountains, which includes the regions of the L'Alcoi\u00e0-Comtat<\/strong>The Castles of Fear Border, which focuses on the defences of Las Marinas de Alicante<\/strong>la Clau del Regne, which is located at L'Alacant\u00ed<\/strong>and The Castles of Tudmir, which refers to the Vega Baja<\/strong>. In addition, the project includes explanations for each of the 84 fortifications with small details and elements<\/strong> that can be found in them, as well as brief historical references<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Julia Parra has assured that \"with this proposal we want that also in Torrevieja you can enjoy one of the most representative exhibitions of Alicante that shows that we are in a land of castles\". The deputy explained that the province has almost 250 castles, fortifications, coastal towers, towers of refuge, fortresses, forts and batteries \"that confirm the important presence of these guardians of stone and mud witnesses of our history within its solid walls. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n For his part, Dolon said that \"as mayor is an honor and a privilege for the city of Torrevieja that we can open this important exhibition that meets all safety guarantees. These are days to enjoy this exhibition that the public can visit until June.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The project incorporates an attractive presentation, awarded in 2015 with the National Award for Ephemeral Architecture, and has been updated with two backlit panels and a third audio-visual panel<\/strong> in which the curator explains the different blocks that make up the exhibition. The exhibition has also been designed using the new technologies<\/strong> The exhibition includes a model of the province that has been completed during the different itineraries. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In addition, the proposal includes media and QR codes<\/strong> The audio-guide is a novelty that MARQ is launching in this exhibition, turning the exhibition into a fully accessible roaming<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" La exposición del MARQ ‘Guardianes de Piedra.
