The Archaeological Museum<\/strong> of the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante has started the fourth edition of the programme 'MARQ: Museum and Memory against Alzheimer's'.<\/strong>The project, an initiative aimed at promoting the social inclusion of these patients in culturally close environments.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Vice-President and Member of Parliament for Culture, Julia Parra<\/strong>The aim of this initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association of Alicante, \"is to bring cultural proposals closer to everyone in an accessible and inclusive way, offering information about the museum's permanent collection, temporary exhibitions and the archaeological sites and monuments managed by the MARQ Foundation\", he explained. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In this edition, the online talks and workshops of the programme 'MARQ: Museum and Memory against Alzheimer's' will take place on Fridays at 10.30 am. Users will follow the sessions at the headquarters of AFA Alicante, due to the fact that the current capacity restrictions caused by the pandemic prevent people from travelling to the museum to attend the talks and workshops. 20 people involved in the project<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n A total of ten workshops<\/strong>on alternate weeks, which will be given to two bubble groups of 10 people.<\/strong> each with content related to the historical periods present in the museum. If the evolution of Covid-19 allows it, from 15 January, guided tours will also take place<\/strong> to both the permanent and temporary exhibitions and face-to-face workshops at MARQ<\/strong>. The calendar of talks and workshops is scheduled until June 2021.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n MARQ: Museum and Memory against Alzheimer's' is a project that, in its fourth edition, has demonstrated its capacity to favour the emotional state of the users, stimulate their autobiographical memory<\/strong> through the evocation of personal memories and to encourage them cognitively and functionally <\/strong>through practical activities in the workshops.
