The Board of Trustees of the MARQ Foundation<\/strong> has given the green light to the proposal to free access for all audiences<\/strong> from 1 January, which will be applied to all the facilities, both in the museum and in the sites and monuments managed by the Foundation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This decision was taken at the last ordinary session of the Board of Trustees held yesterday afternoon by telematic means, with the approval of all those present. The initiative proposed by the vice-president and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra<\/strong>with the backing of the President of the Provincial Council, Carlos Maz\u00f3n<\/strong>will be extended from January to June<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Julia Parra expressed her gratitude \"for the unanimous support given to an initiative that aims to implement solidarity policies in line with the exceptional situation in which we find ourselves as a result of the pandemic\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The head of Culture has expressed her conviction that \"the administrations must take a step forward now, which is when citizens expect more from us, providing facilities so that all audiences can enjoy our cultural heritage. Both the people of Alicante and those who visit us will now find it easier than ever to visit a safe and accessible MARQ\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The measure will be complemented by a study on the appropriateness of review the current tariffs<\/strong>which will be presented for discussion at the next meeting of the Board of Trustees. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On behalf of all the members of the Board of Trustees, the vice-president invited the public to visit the museum, which houses not only the permanent collections<\/strong> temporary exhibitions dedicated to the Cova de l'Or' (Cave of Gold)<\/strong> and The Knight of Ifach<\/strong>which will remain in place until April.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The MARQ, its sites and monuments fully comply with all the safety measures and capacity restrictions recommended by the health authorities to guarantee the health of visitors.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The MARQ Foundation's Board of Trustees yesterday also unanimously approved all the matters brought to the meeting, including the budgets for the next financial year 2021<\/strong>with a total amount of 4,639,000 euros<\/strong> 3,300,000 euros, of which the Provincial Council is providing 3,300,000 euros.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
