The Archaeological Museum of Alicante has organised for the next weekend the V Conference of Historical Recreation of the city of Lucentum<\/strong>, Lucentum Reviviscit<\/em>. The initiative aims to show what life was like in the Roman world 2,000 years ago by means of six genre scenes<\/strong> distributed throughout the Tossal de Manises site.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Vice-President and Member of Parliament for Culture, Julia Parra<\/strong>He invited the public to participate \"in an activity whose aim is to bring our rich historical heritage to all Alicante citizens in a different, educational and entertaining way, to present unknown aspects to audiences of all ages\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The days saturday 19 and sunday 20 september<\/strong> a performance will be offered to to show, through different scenes, aspects of the life of the inhabitants of Lucentum.<\/strong> by the Hispania Romana Association, a national non-profit organisation that studies the Roman presence in Spain and elsewhere in the Mediterranean, with special emphasis on their cultural legacy, language and customs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The actors, distributed in six emblematic locations in the archaeological park, will perform dialogues and monologues with historical rigour and in a theatrical way in which show the day-to-day activities<\/strong>, armament<\/strong>, tactics and life in a Roman military camp<\/strong>. Also They will relive scenes of manumission or liberation of slaves or aspects such as the Roman grooming ritual.<\/strong>, the art of writing and the use of water in the city<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This MARQ initiative has the collaboration of the Banco Sabadell Foundation. In order to ensure the safety of all participants in these sessions, the capacity of the groups has been reduced to a maximum of maximum of 10 persons<\/strong>. The the use of the mask is compulsory during the entire performance<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The historical re-enactments will take place on Saturday 19 September at 17:30 and 18:00 and Sunday 20 September at 10:30 and 11:00.<\/strong>. The single ticket price is 3 euros and tickets can be purchased at the MARQ ticket offices, at the site itself or through Instanticket. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
