The President of the Provincial Council of Alicante, Carlos Maz\u00f3n<\/strong>and the commercial director of CaixaBank in the Valencia Region, Felipe Pulido<\/strong>ratified this morning the collaboration agreement between \"la Caixa\" Welfare Projects and the MARQ Foundation for the development of the programme of educational activities of the provincial Archaeological Museum<\/strong> during the 2019-2020 academic year. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The event was also attended by the vice-president and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra<\/strong>On 26 September, she will be in charge of presenting the initiative to the educational community \"as a way of ensuring that the rich cultural heritage that we treasure is also talked about in schools\".<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The signing of the agreement between the two institutions will allow the programming of the <\/strong>Didactics Unit, Club Llumiq, Accessibility and Social Responsibility of the MARQ Foundation reaches more and more schools in the province of Alicante every year. This initiative was born in 2016 and is renewed after the good results obtained in previous years. In the last financial year, the following participated in these activities directed by MARQ more than 18,000 children from nearly 900 schools in the province.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The calendar for the 2019-2020 academic year includes workshops, guided tours, teaching materials, training courses for teachers and other projects related to accessibility and social responsibility. <\/strong>focused on teachers and educational centres.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Through this programme the la Caixa\" Welfare Projects contributes to promoting the training and educational role of museums and the MARQ's vocation to bring history and its legacy closer to children and young people<\/strong> cultural and archaeological heritage of Alicante. The ultimate aim of this agreement is to create a better prepared society through knowledge and coexistence.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The \"la Caixa\" Banking Foundation, chaired by Isidro Fain\u00e9<\/strong> and directed by Jaume Gir\u00f3<\/strong>is the first private foundation in Spain and one of the most important in the world.
