With the due authorisation of the General Directorate of Culture of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Archaeological Museum of Alcoy has removed this Monday 26th November the so-called \"Orante vase\" from the exhibition \"Rupestre. The first sanctuaries\", MARQ's main exhibition in 2018, which opened on 5 July and will be open until 5 January.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n This is an exceptional piece located in the Cova de l'Or in Beniarr\u00e9s, due to its age - around 7500 years old -, its excellent state of preservation and the artistic motif it shows: a praying woman with her arms raised. The printed cardial technique of its decoration and this motif contributed to dating the so-called Macro-schematic Art, a parietal representation of enormous importance to which the MARQ exhibition devotes the second room.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The competent authorities considered it essential that the vase be kept in its usual place, the Archaeological Museum of Alcoy, for a week on the occasion of the Congress.<\/span><\/span><\/span> L'Art Rupestre de l'Arc Mediterrani de la Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e8rica. 20 years on the UNESCO World Heritage List<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>coordinated by the Conselleria d'Educaci\u00f3, Investigaci\u00f3, Cultura i Esport in collaboration with the City Council of Alcoy. After this event, which brings together scientists and specialists, the glass can be seen again in the MARQ exhibition from Tuesday 4 December until the exhibition closes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n For this absence, the Fundaci\u00f3n C.V. MARQ apologises to the public who visit the exhibition, and promises to let them back in freely, keeping this week's ticket. \"Rupestre.
