The Gothic capital from the Medieval Pobla de Ifach in Calp can be seen in the exhibition space in the MARQ foyer until Sunday 2 September. Undoubtedly, it is an extraordinary piece, dating from the first half of the 14th century, discovered in 2016. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>audemars piguet replica watches<\/a> by the museum's team of archaeologists excavating this archaeological site. As soon as they reviewed the find, the researchers were certain that it was a key piece of the site, of exceptional technical and artistic mastery. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This type of element formed part of the windows in buildings destined for the residence of the nobility or local aristocracy; in Ifach the window of which this find forms part illuminated the first floor of the Domus Ll\u00faria, destined to serve as a domestic space and rest area for the troops defending the walls of La Pobla, as well as the residence of the members of the House of Ll\u00faria. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The curator of this exhibition is Doctor Jos\u00e9 Luis Men\u00e9ndez Fueyo, archaeologist at MARQ, who is participating this summer in the fourteenth excavation campaign at Pobla de Ifach, focusing on emergency consolidation and adaptation work at the site, as well as the excavation of the archaeological areas of the West Wall sector.   <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
