The MARQ<\/strong> has been awarded the Stamp of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018<\/strong>The European Union<\/strong>through the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport<\/strong>has granted its Programme of Activities for 2018<\/strong>. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The European Heritage Label is awarded on the basis of three criteria<\/strong>that the centre has played a central role in the European culture<\/strong>which has a dynamic and attractive project<\/strong> promoting the European dimension, and, finally, to have a WORK PLAN<\/strong> and activities. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n For the Museum, this recognition is an opportunity to participate in and be part of a year that celebrates the wealth and diversity<\/strong> from European Heritage<\/strong>. A seal that is of utmost importance for MARQ, which is thus valued for its efforts to disseminate beyond our frontiers the cultural and archaeological history of the province of Alicante<\/strong> and of the civilisations that have populated the earth over the centuries, as well as their contribution to the creation of an common cultural space<\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n In addition, the EU<\/strong> also wants to ensure that the spaces and centres<\/strong> awarded with the European Heritage Label are dynamic and accessible to a wide audience<\/strong>. This distinction aims to highlight the educational value of the cultural heritage<\/strong> and its contribution both to economic development and to building inclusive, cohesive and sustainable societies.
