The enigma of the lost cities<\/strong>\" <\/em>continues to break records and, since it was inaugurated at the end of May, it has already been visited by <strong>about 45,000 people<\/strong>. A total of <strong>211 objects<\/strong> mainly from the Museo Nacional de Arqueolog\u00eda y Etnolog\u00eda in Guatemala make up this<strong> <\/strong>spectacular<strong> <\/strong>exhibition, never before shown in Spain, which will remain at the Alicante centre. <strong>until 7 January 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By month, <strong>July and August<\/strong> <strong>have been those who have registered a<\/strong> <strong>greater number of people<\/strong>, <strong>with 13,403 and 14,358 people<\/strong>These figures coincide especially with the development of the programme of fun and educational activities for children that the archaeological museum carries out every summer.<\/p>\n<p>The origin of the visitors was very diverse, but the number of visitors was <strong>Alicante's tourists stand out<\/strong>Among the nationals are those from <strong>Madrid<\/strong>ahead of the <strong>rest of the Comunitat Valenciana<\/strong> (Valencia and Castell\u00f3n), <strong>Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha or Murcia<\/strong>. With an exceptional exhibition set-up that occupies the three temporary halls of the MARQ, the visitor can <strong>to know facts about Mesoamerican archaeology<\/strong> <strong>and contemplate vestiges<\/strong> so prominent <strong>like the sculpture of a man with jaguar attributes<\/strong>,<strong> a jade mask or various stelae<\/strong>, <strong>plates and censers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>XIII Campaign <\/u><\/strong><u>'<strong>Summer at MARQ<\/strong>'<\/u><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Also of particular relevance are the figures for the <strong>children's activities programme <\/strong>which takes place every summer at the Alicante museum and which this year has counted with the participation of <strong>more than 1,500 children<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The 'Summer at MARQ' campaign, which this year has reached its thirteenth edition, is addressed to <strong>children aged 6 to 12 years<\/strong>. These one-week courses allow them to <strong>learning while playing, dancing<\/strong>,<strong> paint<\/strong>,<strong> decorate masks or make headdresses and earmuffs<\/strong>. The children also visited the museum's permanent collection, as well as the international exhibition \"....<em>Mayas.
