<\/div>\n The MARQ <\/strong>wanted to commemorate its 85th anniversary<\/strong> with the renewal of the website <\/strong>and the challenge of maintaining and expanding the one million sessions achieved by its predecessors since 2009. This version 4.0<\/strong>which includes a latest platform design<\/strong>will make the museum's web environment an indicator of cutting-edge technology.<\/p>\n The Deputy for Culture, C\u00e9sar Augusto Asencio<\/strong>said that \"With the creation of the new technologies department in 2009, we began a firm commitment to innovation and the updating of content and proposals on the Internet and, since then, we have been following the dizzying progress of the digital era on a daily basis.<\/u>\". He added that, \"85 years later, the MARQ honours its origins by becoming a cultural reference for the province of Alicante, beyond the purely archaeological field, by joining the sites and monuments it manages to its central facilities with an extensive programme of activities. In addition to offering Alicante society as a whole, and visitors to the Costa Blanca in general, our culture, history and heritage from the first settlers to the present day.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n Indeed, almost a decade ago, the MARQ not only modernised its website, but also gave the leap into the world of blogging and online television <\/strong>with the creation of a channel on Vimeo, which has now reached more than two million hits. In 2010, the museum entered the world of social networks and inaugurated its page at Facebook<\/strong> and its profile of Twitter<\/strong>The MARQ's 2.0 offer on the Internet is now available online, as well as in the online shop.<\/p>\n Two years later, and on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its current headquarters<\/strong>The new website was launched with a new look and new content. As Asencio explained, \"was a more open and participative website, made up of the \"tumarq\", \"marqmedia\" and \"marqreview\" services. Since then, the contents are no longer only those proposed by the professionals at the service of MARQ, but also by visitors and followers who feel it as their own.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n In 2014 the phone<\/strong> mobile<\/strong> has become the main means of accessing the Internet and this evolution is also reflected in the traffic analysis statistics of the MARQ websites. For this reason, the project initiated in 2016 for the rapid adaptation to the standards of adaptive web usability<\/strong> on all MARQ's platforms. In this way, the blogs and the website itself have been adapted and the appearance of the homepage has been changed.<\/p>\n
