Under the name \"Romans against Romans. Sertorius and the Civil Wars in south-eastern Hispania\".<\/strong>MARQ's new exhibition, the new MARQ exhibition encompasses the main enclaves and strongholds<\/strong> of the Sertorian Wars<\/strong> located in Alicante and analyses the traces of this conflict in the Iberian Peninsula during the second decade of the 1st century BC.<\/p>\n The second vice-president and deputy for Culture, C\u00e9sar Augusto<\/strong> Asencio<\/strong>inaugurated this morning at the Library<\/strong> of the museum, together with the managing director of MARQ, Jos\u00e9 Alberto Cort\u00e9s<\/strong>the technical director, Manuel Olcina<\/strong>the commissioner, Feliciana Sala <\/strong>and the <\/strong>Director of the University Research Institute <\/strong>in Archaeology <\/strong>and Historical Heritage, Sonia Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>This touring exhibition, produced by the University of Alicante<\/strong>The University Institute for Research in Archaeology<\/strong> and Historical Heritage<\/strong> and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness<\/strong>. <\/p>\n Asencio has indicated that \"this exhibition, which gathers new and revealing data thanks to a research project carried out by the University of Alicante, can be seen at the MARQ for the next two months and then begins a travelling period through the municipalities of the province.<\/u>\".<\/p>\n This new exhibition proposal places a special emphasis on the excavations carried out in 2010<\/strong> at the site of The Tossal de La Cala in Benidorm<\/strong>. It is a \"castellum ex novo<\/strong> where an unusual quantity of Italic pottery, amphorae, cooking utensils and oil lamps were found, in addition to the metal objects<\/strong> of the Roman armies.
