The President of the Provincial Council of Alicante, Luisa Pastor<\/b>inaugurated in the MARQ<\/b> a technical workshop on 'Cement applications in highways, roads and footpaths<\/i>' with the aim of addressing efficient solutions for pavement construction and rehabilitation<\/b>. In addition to the continuous passage of vehicles, roads are subject to the consequences of erosion and the action of atmospheric elements, hence the importance of research to reduce the wear and tear of cement.<\/u>. <\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\nFor his part, Antonio Jim\u00e9nez pointed out that In Spain we have 162,000 kilometres of roads, 137,000 of which depend on local, provincial and regional bodies. Their maintenance, upkeep and rehabilitation must be undertaken with criteria of efficiency, economy and reduced environmental impact. For this reason, we must make a greater and continuous effort with innovative, quality and cost-competitive solutions that allow administrations to better manage resources.<\/u>. <\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\nThe use of soil stabilisation techniques<\/b> and the recycling of pavements with cement<\/b> are techniques that have been known and successfully used in Spain for more than a decade in numerous road and motorway works. <\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\nIn this respect, the Diputaci\u00f3n de Alicante has carried out road surface recycling works<\/b> with concrete on various sections of roads such as the CV-770 <\/b>from La Vila Joiosa to Orxeta<\/b>the CV-704 <\/b>from Benillup to Benimarfull<\/b> or the CV-787 <\/b>from Benifallim to Benilloba<\/b>. This technique has also been used on roads where the use of cement has important possibilities, such as in the work currently being carried out in the municipality of Xixona<\/b>. <\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\nThe President explained that the provincial road network is one of the main assets of the Provincial Council, with a length of up to one thousand kilometres<\/b> and a daily traffic on its sections of more than 2,000 vehicles<\/b>. <\/span><\/div>\n <\/div>\nFinally, he specified that this important road infrastructure has been shaped and developed over decades of significant investment.<\/u>. <\/span><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
