This exhibition, which is the result of rigorous documentation, research and restoration work, has made it possible to <strong>recovering the look and sound it must have had in its origin<\/strong> <strong>the piece<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'><img alt='' src='\/contenido\/genericas\/R_P_ AMORETTE.jpg' style='width: 600px; height: 330px;' \/><\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'><span style='font-size: 10px;'>YESTERDAY DURING THE PRESENTATION OF THE AMORETTE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEPUTATION OF THE DEPUTATION&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style='font-size: 10px;'>TOGETHER WITH THE BOTELLA GARCIA FAMILY AND THE CURATOR OF THE EXHIBITION, CONSUELO ROCA DE TOGORES-.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>The President of the Alicante Provincial Council <strong>Luisa Pastor<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;presented this exhibition which, under the title <em>\"<strong>Amorette: a mechanical musical instrument from the late 19th century<\/strong>\",<\/em> will remain on display at the <strong>hall of our museum. <\/strong>The event was also attended by the Botella Garc\u00eda brothers, our technical director, <strong>Manuel Olcina, <\/strong>and the curator of the exhibition, our colleague, <strong>Consuelo Roca de Togores.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'><img alt='' src='\/contenido\/genericas\/Vista posterior del amorette.JPG' style='width: 600px; height: 400px;' \/><\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'>.- REAR VIEW OF THE AMORETTE-.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>The show is also complemented by <strong>an audiovisual and a<\/strong> <strong>monographic catalogue<\/strong> that <strong>deepen their knowledge<\/strong> of this instrument, from its donation to the discovery of its name, as well as the establishment where it was acquired (according to the metal plaque on the case of the instrument, it was sold in the Giner bazaar in Valencia), the history of the owners and their relationship with music, and the restoration work that has been carried out.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'><img alt='' src='\/contenido\/genericas\/Discos de metal del amorette(1).JPG' style='width: 600px; height: 385px;' \/><\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'>.- ZINC DISCS-.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>Pastor pointed out that <u>This is a magnificent exhibition that invites the visitor to enjoy a suggestive journey through time and offers a portrait of the musical tastes and customs of the citizens of the late 19th century. This exhibition is the result of important documentation, research and restoration work that has made it possible to recover the original appearance and even the original sound of the piece.<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'><img alt='' src='\/contenido\/genericas\/Vista del mecanismo interno del instrumento.JPG' style='width: 600px; height: 450px;' \/><\/p>\n<p style='text-align: center;'>.-VIEW OF THE INTERNAL MECHANISM OF THE AMORETTE-.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>In addition, in<strong>&nbsp;our<\/strong> <strong>temporary exhibitions section of the MARQ website<\/strong>&nbsp;all our friends will be able to listen in full and with perfect fidelity to what was the original sound of the Amorette, the <strong>recording of the twelve discs donated to the museum<\/strong>. This work, which has been produced thanks to the work of the Alicante musician and composer <strong>Luis Ivars<\/strong>includes among its passages <strong>polkas<\/strong> as 'La Estudiantina', <strong>popular songs<\/strong> such as 'El Turia' or 'La Paloma', <strong>marches and waltzes<\/strong>which represent the musical tastes of the time, among others.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>Carmen Botella explained that <u>This instrument was bought by my grandfather Arturo Garc\u00eda Soler in Valencia and later he took it to his house in Aspe, where my brother and I used to play with it when we were little. Over the years, when we sold the house in the village and brought the Amorette to Alicante, it seemed to me that the best place for it to be exhibited was here, in the MARQ, a museum that is extraordinary for me.<\/u>.<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style='text-align: justify;'>This <strong>initiative is part of our exhibition programme in our entrance HALL.<\/strong> and replaces the sample <em>\"Prestige and eternity.
