TheArchaeological Museum of Alicante <\/strong>promotes the cultural integration of deaf people through tours given by hearing-impaired guides<\/strong>. The MARQ's Didactics Department has developed this innovative initiative in collaboration with the Associaci\u00f3 de Persones Sordes de L'Alacant\u00ed -APESOA- (Association of Deaf People of L'Alacant\u00ed) with the aim of improving quality of life and promoting autonomy and integration<\/strong> of this group in the different social spheres.<\/p>\n The technical staff of the Alicante museum has been in charge of training the members of the association, who will give these one-hour sessions that will start next year. Saturday 9 March at 5.30 p.m.<\/strong> with a guided tour<\/strong> to the temporary exhibition \"Santa Pola<\/strong>. Archaeology and Museum<\/strong>\".<\/em><\/p>\n MARQ will also develop dramatised visits throughout the year<\/strong> also in sign language<\/strong>. To carry out this activity, the contents of the exhibitions have been adapted to a theatrical script that will allow the hearing impaired to learn about and enjoy culture in a pleasant and visual way.<\/p>\n In this regard, the deputy for Culture Juan Bautista Rosell\u00f3<\/strong> has pointed out that with this type of initiative, the Alicante centre reinforces its commitment to disabled groups and continues to work on accessibility programmes as a key element to ensure that everyone can access the rich archaeological heritage of the province of Alicante.<\/u>.<\/p>\n
