The Member of Parliament for Culture Juan Bautista Rosell\u00f3<\/strong> and the local mayoress Carmen Verd\u00fa<\/strong> signed this morning an agreement to protect and raise awareness of the values of this cultural heritage, an initiative that coincides with the XXV anniversary of the discovery of the Lady of Guardamar<\/strong>. In this sense, Verd\u00fa has announced that \".work is being done so that, as part of the commemorative events, Guardamar can house the bust next July.<\/u>\". <\/p>\n Rosell\u00f3 pointed out that \"This is a very important agreement because it marks the path that, from now on, the Provincial Council and the Guardamar Town Council are going to initiate for the enhancement of all its historical heritage. This collaboration will be very fruitful, as the territory of Guardamar still holds much to be discovered, many important parts of our history, especially from ancient times such as the Phoenicians or the Iberians.<\/u><\/em>\".<\/p>\n \"This action is a fundamental action to enrich the tourist and cultural image of the Costa Blanca. The creation of a solid archaeological heritage product in Guardamar del Segura provides a qualitative leap in tourism in Alicante and makes it position itself strongly in the first European industry, cultural tourism.<\/u>\"The deputy pointed out.<\/p>\n The geographical and strategic location of Guardamar, next to the mouth of the Segura River in the Mediterranean Sea, has been key throughout its history.
