{"id":33430,"date":"2011-10-20T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-10-20T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/marqalicante-admin.qwair.com\/2011\/10\/20\/la-cova-del-randero-un-yacimiento-unico-para-el-conocimiento-del-neolitico-en-la-marina-alta\/"},"modified":"2011-10-20T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2011-10-20T00:00:00","slug":"la-cova-del-randero-un-yacimiento-unico-para-el-conocimiento-del-neolitico-en-la-marina-alta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marqalicante-admin.qwair.com\/en\/la-cova-del-randero-un-yacimiento-unico-para-el-conocimiento-del-neolitico-en-la-marina-alta\/","title":{"rendered":"The Cova del Randero, a unique site for the knowledge of the Neolithic period in the Marina Alta region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style='text-align: center'><img alt='' src='\/contenido\/genericas\/noticia.jpg' style='width: 600px; height: 400px' \/><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Alicante Provincial Council<\/strong>in collaboration with the <strong>Pedreguer Town Council<\/strong>The fifth edition of the <strong>excavation campaign<\/strong> in the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogdelmarqexcavaciones.com\/category\/excavaciones\/cova-del-randero\/\" title=\"http:\/\/www.blogdelmarqexcavaciones.com\/category\/excavaciones\/cova-del-randero\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Randero Cave<span title='http:\/\/www.blogdelmarqexcavaciones.com\/category\/excavaciones\/cova-del-randero\/'>.<\/span><\/a><\/strong> The Member of Parliament for Culture <strong>Juan Bautista Rosell\u00f3<\/strong>the mayor of Pedreguer <strong>Sergi Ferr\u00fas<\/strong> and the MARQ archaeologist <strong>Jorge Soler<\/strong>presented this morning the excavation works that consider this site to be a unique place for the <strong>occupancy study <\/strong>of the<strong>Marina Alta<\/strong> during the <strong>Neolithic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Juan Bautista Rosell\u00f3 has commented that \".<em><u>these finds are of the utmost importance. It is not only the value of the fish that can be found, but also the fact that they open up a new world in historical research, in this case prehistoric, of our region and province.<\/u><\/em>\".<\/p>\n<p>These archaeological interventions focus on the reconnaissance of the <strong>housing and burial use<\/strong> by <strong>Middle Neolithic pastoralists<\/strong>. In this year's intervention, a number of <strong>combustion stains<\/strong> The cave was used by the Neolithic shepherds as a shelter for the burning of livestock droppings.<\/p>\n<p>It has also <strong>exhumed faunal remains<\/strong>some of them with cut marks, produced by man for their consumption, in addition to <strong>ceramics and flint<\/strong> whether plain or decorated with laces or with a brushed or sgraffito treatment.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy added that \"<em><u>For the first time MARQ has experimented with a system of permanent surveillance of the cave. After some cases of invasion of the cave, we began to study what would be the ideal device to keep the cave under permanent surveillance, a surveillance device that, in addition, is connected to the police of Pedreguer. It works with a battery that has an autonomy of 4 years and can even be exportable to other sites.<\/u><\/em>\".<\/p>\n<p>This scientific project began four years ago and is directed by MARQ technicians.
