 ARGAR CULTURE IN THE PERIFERIA: The settlement of Pe\u00f1alosa in the Upper Guadalquivir.<\/p>\n

From 1800 BC onwards, the development of the Argaric culture took place in the Upper Guadalquivir. The political centres of this territory colonised the foothills of the Sierra Morena with the intention of exploiting the rich copper seams in the area. This fact facilitated the rapid cultural development of the area throughout the Bronze Age. The scientific developments obtained in the area are shown, based mainly on the systematic excavations carried out in the settlement of Pe\u00f1alosa (Ba\u00f1os de la Encina, Ja\u00e9n).<\/p>\n

THE REGION OF MADRID IN ARGARIC TIMES
Until just a few years ago, the Bronze Age in the interior of the peninsula was identified as the \"Dark Age\" due to the complete lack of knowledge we had about it, but recent research has shed light on the fact that its economic and social development is not too far removed from that experienced by the Argaric area with which it maintains relations that are manifested through the mutual adaptation of techniques and aesthetic models in the form of reciprocal loans and explain the synchrony of some aspects such as the beginning of the social hierarchy.
