Excavations in the Cova del Randero (Pedreguer, Alicante). Background and advance results

This article briefly describes the work carried out in the archaeological intervention carried out in the Cova del Randero in Pedreguer since 2007, assessing the damage caused by illegal activities of various kinds prior to the excavation. The results of the excavations confirm that this cave, as well as being used in historical times, was inhabited in prehistoric times, and that it was occupied by shepherds who used the cave for stabling livestock in the Middle Neolithic period.
