Fortified peasants facing feudal conquerors in the Alicante mountains (12th-13th century)

After the first feudal expansion (12th century AD), the peasants of the Alicante mountains built fortified villages and towers to defend their farmhouses and fields. During the Christian conquest (13th century AD), the peasants built fortresses for fear of slavery or death.
