Halfway. Archaeological excavations in El Negret (Agost, Alicante)

This article presents the first results of the excavations carried out at the site of El Negret (Agost, Alicante). The absolute dates obtained and the analysis of certain materials from the excavation and previous surveys have allowed us to ascribe this settlement to the Late Bronze Age and to relate it to other sites from the same period. Its privileged setting, with abundant water and fertile land, as well as its location between the Vinalopó river basin - where the Late Bronze Age is well represented - and the Mediterranean coast, explain its extensive chronological framework and the richness and variety of the archaeological contexts documented.
