First contributions of the archaeological excavation project in the bell-shaped settlement of Peñón de la Zorra (Villena, Alicante).
The data obtained from the excavation of the upper terrace of Peñón de la Zorra (Villena) are presented. The site has been known since the 1960s thanks to the work of J.Mª. Soler, who related the occupation to the Campaniform period. The work carried out has allowed us to better understand the urban characteristics of the settlement, as well as to obtain preliminary data for the social definition of its occupants.
