Dying in Ifach. A possible case of brucellosis in a double tomb in the medieval town of Ifach (Calp, Alicante).
We present an exceptional and unique case discovered in the area of the medieval necropolis of Pobla de Ifach in Calp (Alicante). We present the case of T35, where a woman has been found with signs of having suffered from a possible brucellosis at the level of the 5th lumbar vertebra and a perinatal infant of 6 1/2 months old, placed a few centimetres from the right knee of the adult skeleton. It is a double synchronous tomb which conceals a life history that is shown to us in all its crudeness, but also with all the splendour that the anthropological record can offer us today.
