The Cerro del Sastre plaster ovens in Sax (Alicante). First intervention to enhance their value

In the north-western part of the municipality of Sax (Alicante), most of the old gypsum plaster works are located.
The site is located in the Keuper geological belt, which is rich in gypsum and Triassic clays. The gypsum kilns
of the Cabezo del Sastre are an artisan-industrial complex, in which heritage recovery has begun with cleaning,
excavation, as well as the reconstruction of the adjoining rooms. Most importantly, the following guidelines have been established
in the future in order to achieve a comprehensive environmental and cultural heritage recovery of the whole complex.
