The Cave Art and Museum Collection Room in Castell de Castells. An avant-garde installation for a town in the Alicante mountains.
Following the work carried out in 1998 to enhance the value of the Pla de Petracos rock art site, in 2003 a room was opened in Castell de Castells with an avant-garde exhibition set-up that includes contents related to Macro-schematic Art and the Ethnographic Collection of the municipality. Audiovisual resources are used to bring visitors closer to the meaning of the cave representations of the Neolithic sanctuary and to illustrate daily life in a small mountain village in Alicante in the early years of the 20th century. On a technical level, this whole montage is the result of the ongoing collaboration between the MARQ and the Architecture Department of the Alicante Provincial Council.
