Research, conservation and enhancement in the rock art shelter of Pinos (Benissa, Alicante).
The Abrigo de Pinos (Benissa, Alicante) is one of the more than 200 sites with Neolithic cave art known in the province of Alicante. In addition to its consideration as an Asset of Cultural Interest, in 1998 it was included in the group of Cave Art of the Mediterranean Arc of the Iberian Peninsula, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. This declaration, together with the municipality's interest in the enclave, has led to the development of different conservation, study and dissemination projects, the latest of which has led to a review of the representations on the site, the results of which are presented in this article.
