The Monographic Museum of La Alcudia de Elche. A new stage in its history
The Monographic Museum of La Alcudia, with 68 years of existence, continues to be a unique element in Spanish archaeology despite the changes in its management in recent decades. It started out as a museum run by its owner and is now part of the teaching and research offer of a large institution such as the University of Alicante. In recent years this museum has renewed both its infrastructure and the way of exhibiting its important collections from the site where it is located and which developed from Prehistoric times to the Visigothic period.
