
The lighting of the tree at MARQ will open the MARQ Christmas calendar tomorrow. Alicante Provincial Council which, once again this year, will offer proposals and activities to enjoy culture with the family during these dates.
From 5.30 p.m. onwards, the gardens of the Archaeological Museum will be the starting point of the campaign of activities with the traditional lighting of the tree and an intense evening of proposals with the mascot LLumiq. The event will also feature the chestnut tree, the drawing competition and lots of surprises.
They have also organised didactic workshops on 23, 26 and 30 December and on 2 Januaryat 10:30 a.m., designed for the youngest children - ages between 6 and 12 years of age-Registration at the MARQ ticket offices is free of charge.
A workshop is scheduled for Tuesday 23rd Dénia Tile'. inspired by one of the pieces that forms part of the current temporary exhibition of the MARQ, 'Dénia. Archaeology and Museum', which was found in the castle of that town. On the 26th it will be the turn of NeptuneIn this activity, a cloth bag will be decorated with the image of the famous bronze found in Dénia and which is currently exhibited in the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia.
The workshops will continue on the 30th with Safa de la Nauwhere participants will create their own version of this Andalusian pottery decorated in green and manganese. Finally, on Friday, 2 January, it will be the turn of Sultana box chromeThe workshop will be a workshop to design a chromo, also inspired by one of the pieces on display in the permanent exhibition.
On the other hand, this Christmas the MARQ: will be organising a Christmas drawing competition inspired by one of the special pieces of the exhibition 'Dénia. Archaeology and Museum'. It is the Viriato Ernesto Oliver Bennet's sultana box chromo made with paper, inks and golden filigree.
In addition, the museum's assembly hall will host sessions on children's theatre at 12:00 noon with free admission, limited to the capacity of the hall. On 23rd December the play 'Un bon regalo per Nadal' by Tarannà Teatre will be performed; on 26th December 'Los juguetes de los Reyes Magos' by the company association L'Oracle de l'Est, and on 30th December it will be the turn of the group Art Estranya to perform 'La Navidad de los Elfos'.
As every year, the CV MARQ Foundation will also be present in ExponadalThe museum will have its own space at the leisure fair that will be held at IDA from 26 to 30 December and from 2 to 4 January.
