The MARQ bids farewell to the exhibition Cities of Light, on the origins of Alicante, with the visit of 59,759 people.

 

            The open days on 6 and 7 September were visited by 835 people.

LaqantThe exhibition on the origins of the city of Alicante, which has been on display in the temporary halls of the MARQ and the main hall of its Library since 20 December, has been visited by 59,759 people. Cities of Light closed its doors yesterday, Sunday 7 September, with the celebration of two open days during the weekend in which the exhibition was visited by 835 people.

With regard to the origin of the visitors who have chosen the MARQ for their cultural visits to Alicante this summer, the most important international visitors, in order of importance, are residents of Eastern European countries, followed by Great Britain, France, America and the Nordic countries. With regard to national visitors, the largest group, after Alicante residents from the whole province, came from the Community of Madrid, followed by residents of Castilla La Mancha, the Valencian Community, Andalusia and Castilla y León.

Over the next few days, the technicians of the Fundación CV MARQ and the MARQ, together with those of the more than thirty borrowing institutions, will proceed to dismantle the exhibition and transfer the pieces to their places of origin.
