Cristià

Reliquary in the shape of a prismatic box with back rings on the central part of the narrower sides in order to make it easier to attach it to the neck or to the garment. The front face can be folded down to hold a relic or prayer bead inside and has a circular ring in the centre to hold a stone, which no longer exists today. All this is framed by two side bands, poorly executed, of a simple cord. On the back of the relic there is an incised decoration centred by a crease from which four simple, radially radiating, accentuated panels emerge. The motif is developed on a background covered with a dotted pattern and framed on the sides by two simple geometrical bands.
The relic, as it is found at the excavation levels of the excavations carried out in the castle of Ambra (Pego) and decorated with the patent cross, leaves no doubt that it is a Christian relic box dating from before 1280.
