Archaeology for children

19, 20, 21, 26 and 27 November 2013, is aimed at teachers of Early Childhood Education, Special Education and first cycle of Primary Education who wish to promote knowledge of archaeology among their students. 

It will provide guidelines and keys to teach children this discipline in an entertaining and entertaining way without losing the rigorous and scientific nature of the explanation.

The course will also offer suggestions for activities that can be carried out in the classroom that will help students to enter, learn about and become involved in the world of archaeology, and teachers will be provided with teaching material specifically for this activity, such as the "Archaeologist's Diary".

 

Objectives

 

  • To introduce teachers to the work of archaeologists in an attractive and didactic way.

  • Promote the value of our heritage and respect for it.

  • Discover the great archaeological wealth of the province of Alicante.

  • To encourage interest in archaeology. It will provide guidelines to promote constructive learning.

  • Discovering and manipulating recreations of objects that will later provide the keys to understanding our past.         

  • To use material remains as a basic source of historical information on the cultures that have populated our lands.

RECOGNITION BY THE REGIONAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, CULTURE AND SPORT FOR TEACHER CERTIFICATION

EVALUATION CRITERIA: attendance at least 85% of the hours of the face-to-face sessions.
