SUMMER ON LINE WITH THE MARQ
.jpg)
After fifteen uninterrupted years of summer activities at the MARQ, with a basic structure in terms of programming and organisation that has remained stable over these three lustrums, with only slight modifications that involved increasing the number of proposals, options, participants... on this occasion, pushed by circumstances, we are going to programme a very different summer, where we maintain the same enthusiasm and desire to continue offering fun and culture for the friends of the MARQ's Club Llumiq. We want to keep in touch with families and hope for better times that will allow us to live intense weeks at the museum sharing workshops, games, friendships, gymkhanas, guided tours and so many other things that make the Summer at the Marq are as special as they are.
In this edition, our main objective is for the youngest users of MARQ to continue learning with us, from their homes or summer residences. That they can enjoy our exhibitions and participate in our proposals as a family. In addition to enjoying the summer, they can have the option of doing activities at home that are fun and stimulating, as well as educational.
The programme will also be weekly, as every year, from Monday to Friday, and will last for eight weeks, from 6 July to 28 August.
DAILY PROGRAMMING FOR EVERY WEEK
Welcome video: presentation and introduction. We will give you all the details of the theme of the current week. What we are going to work on each day, how and what we are going to offer you, everything you may need for the days we are going to carry out a workshop or any other activity.
Material culture. Through videos, our friend "Lola the archaeologist" will explain objects representative of the historical period we are working on. She will include explanations about them, in the form of a technical sheet, what materials were used to make them, what they were used for, how they were made... In short, we will make the objects come to life and speak to us.
clothing workshop. We will dress up in costumes similar to those of the historical context of the week. We will make our own clothes and accessories to become prehistoric, Iberian, Roman, medieval or travel to one of the cultures of our temporary exhibitions... and we will live a great adventure every week.
didactic workshop. We will make reproductions of the most significant pieces in the museum with our own hands. In addition, on this day, we will give clues for the next day's activity, so that you can prepare yourselves for it.
Story and Games. Through a story we will be transported back to the period or culture experienced during the week. And we will end the week with different activities: Did you know?, virtual gymkhana, etc., which will help us to find out how much we have learnt.
