The museum



By means of a chronological tour through the material, ethnographic and sumptuary remains of the different cultures that populated the province of Alicante, from Prehistory to the 20th century, distributed in five rooms: PREHISTORY, IBERIAN CULTURE, ROMAN CULTURE, MIDDLE AGES AND MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ROOM, a new vision of archaeology is created. This journey is completed with three
themed rooms through which visitors can learn about the methods used in archaeological excavations by means of reproductions that allow them to travel to a mountain shelter, the cloister of a cathedral or the depths of the sea, illustrating the ARCHAEOLOGY OF THE FIELD, URBAN ARCHAEOLOGY and UNDERWATER ARCHAEOLOGY.
