VISIT:
The aim is to explain to the students the evolution of mankind from the Palaeolithic to the Metal Age through the audiovisual on technology, the murals, the video of cave art and the objects exhibited in the Prehistory room. We will visit the Field Archaeology room where they will learn about the excavation process.
►CAVE PAINTING WORKSHOP.
They will work with techniques related to rock art, natural pigments, tracing rock art drawings that are on display at MARQ.....
PREHISTORIC POTTERY WORKSHOP.
Using the technique of "la pella o bola" and the "colombín" technique, they will make their own ceramics which they will then decorate with "cardium edule", printed, incised, painted ......
► IDOLS AND AMULETS.
Starting with the different beads and idols on display in the Marq. The pupils will make their own and learn about their function in prehistoric rituals and celebrations.
► PREHISTORIC ARROWS WORKSHOP.
(3rd CYCLE OF PRIMARY)
Making arrows, simulating those used by Neolithic hunters. The pupils will carry out the whole process: scraping, crimping and feathering.

VISIT:
The explanation of the Iberian room takes us to the Contestania where, thanks to their material remains, we can learn about their customs, helped by their own drawings that come to life in the MARQ and allow us to obtain a great deal of information about this important people. The Cremation video will allow us to learn about their rituals in the face of death. In the Urban Archaeology room we will witness the excavation process of an Iberian house and its characteristics.
►VOTOS WORKSHOP
In the workshop they will put their observation skills into practice as they will become Iberians making their own votive offerings.
►WRITING WORKSHOP
The pupils will learn about Iberian characters and will engrave their own plaque imitating those of La Serreta.
►CERAMIC DECORATION WORKSHOP
Images painted on pottery are one of the most important testimonies of Iberian culture. There are various styles and decorative motifs that the pupils will learn about and then practise decorating their own "Iberian pottery".
►PEBETER WORKSHOP
The religion of the Iberians is quite unknown and even the names of their divinities are not known. Therefore, their knowledge is nourished among other things by the images represented on ceramics, among which are the female terracotta heads representing the Greek Demeter or the Carthaginian Tanit, goddesses of fertility. In the workshop, the pupils will make their own cauldron with the
image of the goddess Tanit.
►WORKSHOP OF IBERIAN HOUSES
By means of a model, they will learn what Iberian houses were like and the objects and utensils of everyday life. The pupils will make their own adobe brick, using clay, straw and the necessary moulds. As an everyday object, they will make a fusayola with clay.

VISIT:
With the visit to the Room of Rome we will bring the schoolchildren closer to the knowledge of Roman culture, allowing them to get to know first-hand a real Roman city: Lucentum, through the explanation of the different images projected on a gigantic screen that transports us to the life in the city, 2200 years ago, as well as to the observation of the archaeological remains. The visit to the Underwater Archaeology room will allow us to learn about the archaeologist's work.
► MOSAIC WORKSHOP
In this activity we get the pupils to romanise themselves. We will work specifically on the artistic aspect of the Roman world with one of the most representative creations of its production: The Mosaic. We will carry out all the steps to be followed until its completion. There will be different levels of difficulty depending on the cycle of primary and secondary school.
►WORKSHOP "ROMAN DRESS".
A workshop in which we will work on the clothing of the men and women of this era. Students will become familiar with the most characteristic fabrics, clothing, accessories and cosmetics. They will wear togas and tunics and through play they will work on concepts related to the social hierarchy of the period.
►EPIGRAPHIC WORKSHOP
The Roman inscriptions in the museum will allow us to learn about the characteristics of the period as well as the discovery of characters who lived in Lucentum. They will make their own Latin inscription.
