International Museum Day

Here is the programme for Museum Day.

Programming

OPEN DAYS

Both in the Museum and in its Archaeological Parks.

The timetable for these days will be:

Day 18, from 10:00 to 19:00 h.

Day 20, from 10:00 to 24:00 h.

Day 21, from 10:00 to 14:00 h.

We will focus our activities on the Middle Ages, under the motto:

"Convivencia entre culturas en la Edad Media en nuestras tierras" (Coexistence between cultures in the Middle Ages in our lands).

DAY 18

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Guided tours and educational workshops for

Partnerships related to Accessibility and Accountability

social, with the theme chosen by the Marq for this day.

Participants: Aulas de la 3ª Edad and Down Alicante.

At 17:30 h. Guided tour for the general public

inspired by the Middle Ages (until full capacity of 30 pax).

DAYS 20 AND 21

- Guided tours related to the theme of 18 May:

"Coexistence between cultures in the Middle Ages in our

land".

- Workshops and educational games:

- Photocall Middle Ages, with medieval props for the public to

who visit us can take fun photos.

- Game of the "mystery object" in the Middle Ages hall for

enjoy the Marq with the family.

- Alquerque or Mill Game Workshop (an ancient game which

dates back to the Middle Ages). Participants will perform their

Alquerque's own board and tokens.

- Game of the Living Alquerque. In the courtyard a

alquerque. Two teams shall be formed and each member of each team shall

will be a token.

-Medieval pottery workshop, to choose from: Piquera candle, canteen, etc.

or bowl.

-Medieval graffiti workshop, to choose from: boat, woman with dagger or swords.

TIMETABLE OF GAMES AND WORKSHOPS:

Saturday 20 Mayfrom 11:00 to 13:00 h. Closed groups Aspanion

and Down Alicante.

From 18:00 to 20:00 h. General public. From 4 years old and families.

The games and workshops start with a guided tour at 18:00 h.

(until full capacity of 30 people). With the participation of Asociación Vida Libre.

Sunday 21 Mayfrom 11:00 to 13:00 h. General public.

From 4 years old and families. Games and workshops start with

a guided tour at 11:00 a.m. (until the capacity of 30 people is reached).

Accessible Alicante and Vida Libre are participating.
