International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2023
PROGRAMME
On 3 December, the world celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities with the aim of promoting the rights and welfare of these people in all areas of society, as well as raising awareness of their situation in all aspects of life.
This year's theme for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is:
"Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in powering an accessible and equitable world".
Disability inclusion is an essential condition for respect for human rights, sustainable development, peace and security. It is also a key issue for fulfilling the promise of "leaving no one behind" in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Respecting the rights of persons with disabilities is not only a matter of justice, but an investment in our common future.
The C.V MARQ Foundation is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and strongly promotes the fulfilment of the 2030 Agenda; thus its commitment is contained in the document "Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the Fundación CV MARQ. Phase I. Analysis of the situation of the Sustainable Development Goals [Draft Rev.01]". https://www.marqalicante.com/Paginas/es/ODS-P684-M14.html promoted by the Vice-Presidency of the Foundation and the Provincial Council of Alicante approved in March 2021, during the revision phase of the document "Draft Situation Analysis of the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda in the policies and instruments already existing in the Diputación de Alicante", undertaken by the European Projects, Digital Agenda and Innovation Area of the Provincial Corporation.
To this end, we will celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, so that everyone can enjoy the activities and contents of the MARQ, making it an inclusive and accessible space, extending this celebration to 29 November, 1, 2 and 3 December.
